ELECTION 2019, IN INDIA
The Prime Minister of India is elected by members of the Lok Sabha. In India elections are conducted by the Election Commission of India. India is the second most populous country and the most populous democracy. The Loka Sabha and Rajya Sabha are located in New Delhi (Sansad Bhavan).
ELECTION PROCEDURE IN INDIA
The 61st amendment act of the Constitution of India (1988)lowered the voting age elections to the Loka Sabha and to the Legislative Assemblies State from 21 years to 18 years. The allowed strength of Loka Sabha is up to 552 by the Constitution of India-530 members to represent the state, 20 members to represent the union territories, and 2 members to be nominated by the President of India from the Anglo Indian community. At present the strength of the house is 545(543+2, nominated by the President of India). Members of the 17th Loka Sabha are expected to be held in April and May 2019.
WILL PM NARENDRA MODI RETURN TO POWER
Predicting voting result in India, is not easy. So predicting election result will not be accurate. According to an opinion poll PM Modi has very good chance of returning to power.
